| The best weather yet! A little windy but everyday nice enough to spend time on the beach. Actually chased large crabs in the surf but unfortunately didn’t catch any. This house is beautiful and clearly our favorite beach retreat. We’ll be back next year! The Rekates |

| Norm, What a pretty home, it was comfortable I didn’t want to leave. Sunday was rainy; Monday and Tuesday were very nice. We walked a lot. Down to the Bay, a lot of miles on the beach, went to the Yaquina Head Lighthouse and down to the tide pools, Saw starfish, clams hermit crabs and harbor seals on the rocks. I would recommend that. Make sure the tide is right. We went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium and had a great time. The tunnel Aquariums are unbelievable. Lots of game playing and relaxing.

| The Swanson’s are back for the third time in this house. We love coming here. I am usually here for a conference but this time only for fun. We had fun on the beach, shopping, sight seeing and enjoying our family. Both our elder children are heading back to college so this time was very important to us. | This was our second visit in this house. As before it was very nice and homey. We celebrated our son’s 5th birthday; he was excited to have it here. The Weather was superb the entire time with temps in the 70’s. My Husband went on a Fishing Charter and did great bottom fishing. We were busy visiting the Lighthouses, Aquarium, Sea Lions, beach combing, relaxing in the hot tub, eating great seafood. We will be back next year. The Talents |

Our First Visit and we are wondering why we ever stayed at hotels or B&B’s. The perfect solution for young kids, the hot tub is a real plus,
- Favorites: April’s for fine dining, Flashbacks for fun with kids, Village Market and Panini Bakery for picnic lunches or dinner at home, Quimby’s is just OK but the Chowder is great.
- Wine: Nye Beach Gallery and Wine is superb, Tasting Daily of some great stuff. Not the usual poured stuff. Wendy and Lon are great hosts
- Nye Beach is wonderful. Yaquina Head Lighthouse is great, Ditto on the Historic Bay front.
- We actually enjoyed the OSU Marine Science Center more than the Oregon Coast Aquarium (Which is still excellent) Call ahead to the OSU Center for octopus feeding time.
- We had planned on heading north and south but instead stayed around Newport and did not run out of new things to do in five days!

| Had a very nice dinner at Saffron Salmon down on the Bayfront. Spendy but worth it. Lunch is always at Gino’s again on the Bayfront. Great chowder at the Chowder Bowl in Nye Beach. | Well Toto, we are certainly not in Kansas anymore. Although there is no place like home, this was close. We enjoyed the beaches, the sound of the waves, the wonderful clam chowder and the seals at the docks near the fish market. The locals were warm and friendly just like Auntie Em. We toured the local lighthouses and north and south along the Oregon Coastline…We thrilled at describing our walks along the beaches as being at “The end of the map”.
